What Is Source of Light?
“Source of Light” is a Bible Correspondence
Course that the Knotty Oak Baptist Church makes available (free of charge) to
any interested person. The course is non-sectarian, and has been used with great
success both in our church and in the community. We began extending the study
courses to a number of correctional institutions across the country several
years ago, and have enrolled thousands of inmates. It is our
desire to expand this ministry by making it available to every correctional
institution in our country, and now to the visitors of our Web-Site.
When an inmate enrolls, the first lesson is mailed out immediately. The lessons involve reading 6 or 7 pages and are followed by a very basic ten-question test (usually multiple choice). The lesson is then mailed back to us, corrected, and the next lesson is then mailed out. Individuals also have the option of starting at courses on a more advanced level, and we have courses for children and in the Spanish language. There are approximately 150 lessons in the course program, and attractive diplomas are mailed after each course is completed.
